Vehicle History: I bought the car from Hyman Ltd, St Louis, MO on 10/10/2014. Supposedly the car had spent most of its life in Nevada, which would account for the 99% rust free body. The car has had a respray, that wasn’t brilliant (orange peel) but had not had any metal work or been restored. Carpets and the all the interior are original and only a couple of very superficial cracks in the dash. I shipped it to England and it arrived and passed through customs on 12/12/14.

The car went straight to Fourways Engineering, a well known and respected Z specialist in England where it had a thorough check over, converted to UK spec lights and pre-73 bumper mounts, their custom 6-2-1 headers and 2.5 inch exhaust, new window rubbers and a good dose of Waxoyle for rust protection. The paint was also wet sanded back to a mirror finish.

The car was featured in Octane Issue 150, printed in December 2015.
Since then, it has one Best in Show at the Cornwall Festival of Transport in 2016.
Since then, apart from routine maintenance, I have rebuilt the triple Webber carbs that were on the car when I purchased it and the headers have been ceramic coated and a heat shield installed.

For the future, I have an S14 gearbox and Subaru LSD to install as well as E31 and early E88 cylinder heads. Ideally, I would like to install the E31 which will be suitably breathed upon (bigger valves, ported, polished etc.) but don’t know of its condition yet.

All original parts will be kept so it can be returned to stock if desired.
